The C-Model Guitar
With this new guitar I have come full circle in my
guitar designs. Over twenty years ago I used a classical guitar body shape with the usual
14 fret neck joint to build my first steel string guitars. This new model keeps the
classical dimensions but the shape is modified to accommodate the proportions of the steel
string configuration.
For me this is still the ideal body size for a well-balanced instrument. While large enough to have a warm but solid bass, it also has the focus and punch of smaller guitars. The well-defined sound makes it the perfect choice for finger-style players.
