And for the friends of low frequency guitars

A millennium custom cutaway built for Rob Baker, the guitarist for The Tragically Hip. Its especially designed for open C-tuning with a long - 66 cm (26) scale and a large body, 42 cm ( 16 ½) at the lower bout - to support the low frequencies. The body is Indian rosewood with a Sitka spruce top. I selected curly maple for the neck to firm up the sound and control some of the dominant harmonics from the open C and G strings.

Graf signature in abalone

A specially designed set of strings by Dean Markely kept the total tension of the strings in the same range as a light gauge set. Even with the drone of the C-tuning, the guitar has a clear, well-defined sound that brings out the melody lines effectively.

There's another unique feature with that guitar: its the first time that I've used a hand-cut abalone signature inlay in the headstock. Since then I have used it for a few other very special guitars
